about

Performed by Anthony McGill (clarinet), Elena Urioste (violin), and Tom Poster (piano) for the Chamber Music by the Sea 2018 festival.

This piece is a celebration of the vibrancy of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the home to the Chamber Music by the Sea festival. The eastern shore is compromised of vast areas of wilderness and pastoral beauty that undergo many shifts in color throughout the year. This piece could be considered a time lapse of the area; what someone would experience if they spent some time here. The opening and closing sections explore the more pastoral and ethereal elements of the area, while the middle explores the more vibrant and dynamic elements.
